YAP proposal #412: Growing Vegetables and Eggs (Zaina Hemedi Marijani, Tanzania)

zai.jpgI am Zaina Hemedi Marijani, 29, a Tanzanian woman from Dar es Salaam.

As a youth who aims at having my own agricultural projects, I hope you will think of including me in your programme that aims to empower youth.

I have the idea of being a businesswoman with two projects.

  1. Production of Vegetables
  2. Production of Eggs

For both cases mentioned above, I want to make all my efforts to harvest as more as I can so that I can be able to supply within and out of my surrounding community

This will help people around me as they will purchase the products near their homes and with affordable prices.

I am motivated by all the projects, as I know they are the best in giving me an income as a benefit for me but will also help the retail sellers around me.

At the moment I have at least 250 layers and one tunnel that I planned to plant tomatoes in.I did all these with the help of my Husband.

If I will get the fund mentioned, I will buy a site and set more tunnels. I will also build durable cages for keeping more chicks. And this can be done within five months.
